Jackson Hopkins joins Loudoun Utd on loan

Today D.C. United announced the loan move of young prospect Jackson Hopkins to Loudoun United for the remainder of the 2023 season. The Black and Red do hold the right to recall him at any point if the situation arises for this.

Hopkins joined D.C. United on April 13th 2022 as the 18th Homegrown signing in club history. This was to a 4 year deal, expiring at the end of 2025 and also includes options for 2026 & 2027. He has so far made 29 appearances and recorded one assist. Hopkins is a versatile midfielder/forward who can play in a variety of positions, while being strong in possession and having a good passing range, he is also a good dribbler and can take on opponents.

The loan move will be seen as an opportunity for Hopkins to get more playing time and experience as he has struggled for minutes this year.
